Window Into the Sky

Photo 297-298: As my long list of Egypt photographs are now coming to an end, and I am nearing the 300 mark, I'm pumped. I can't believe I'm almost done with this photo venture. I'm pretty close to my 365 number, of course a bit behind, but the Egypt adventure helped. I've got some FLL time coming up, and of course I wandered around NYC yesterday during lunch and took a few shots, so let's see. I've got Long Island, NY, and Reno, Nev., (anyone know what's there?), coming up for a businnes trip in May, and then I go to Arlington, Tx., and San Antonio in June, so I should be able to get some more great shots before my deadline is here and gone. Cross your fingers for me!

Meanwhile, this is the Alabster Mosque with its beautiful spires and delicately crafted windows overlooking the Cairo skyline from the Citadel.

Bright Umbrellas and the BK Bridge

Photo 250 - 251: Brandon and I (giggle) went sightseeing around BK the other day, and after an amazing white pizza pie, some creamy ice cream and a cat-nap in the park, we picked up Pedro and Lexi (our cameras), and did BK proud. What a view! So here is my favorite bridge in the world, and I'm having a dilema with this picture. Should I use the wider shot or the closely-cropped one? I like both, so which one is a better fit?

Spring is in the Air

Photo 241 - 243: This weekend was truly amazing. The weather couldn't have been any better, and I decided to capture the spring-like temps and sights on a long weekend stroll around the city, and go up to the Top of the Rock. I've never been (I know, I know, I'm a bad New Yorker), but I wanted to show off my beautiful city to a very special visitor this weekend. I know it's going to cool down in the next few days, but two days straight of 70 degree weather, and pure bliss is fine with me!

An Afternoon in Liberty State Park

Photo 127-129: I've realized I've slacked off lately with posting pictures, but it hasn't come down to the not taking the pictures, it's all about having time to edit them. This weekend I went to Liberty State Park and shot some nice images of the skyline from the Jersey side. It was fun, especially since I had my friend, Luca, with me, who patiently waited until I got up off the ground after taking yet another picture. lol I have to go back at night to get a shot of the skyline with all the pretty, blinking lights, but I was so tired from the weekend, I couldn't be persuaded to stay any longer than it took to shoot 60 photos. *wink*
