Who.. Me?

Photo 214: I never (or on rare occassions) post pictures of me on here, but this picture I love. It's a reflection of me in a window admiring the colors and the contrast, and I caught myself as well. There's trusty Pedro, my camera big and I on a perfect afternoon in my city.

All You Need Is ... the Beatles?

Photo 211-213: Here is the lesson of the day, no matter how cold you think it is... disregard frostbite, the North Pole wind and shoot away. Pedro didn't mind the arctic wind that blew me around Soho the other day, so here is some love expressed in all different ways. Notice the last photograph, does it perhaps remind you of this? Hm... will have to go by there more often to see how much it changes.

Union Square

Photo 209-210: Wandering around Union Square is always fun, and I can't wait to spend lunchtime there again in the spring and summer. Here are a few shots while I'm working on a few more from this weekend, so stay tuned.

Hello World

Photo 208: It's been quite the photo weekend, and I'm exhausted. I went to the city to take some pictures in Soho, on the Highline, in the West Village, and finally at the Chinese New Year Parade in Chinatown. It's been a weekend filled with new beginnings, great food, lots of laughter and thinking outside the box. Here's a quick shot of my city at twilight... not the skyline or a skyscraper, but a quick snapshot of how beautiful, luminous and romantic she can be without the glitz and glamour of the "Big Apple."

Some More Street Art

Photo 207: Since the sun was shining today, I decided to throw some color on my blog, and post another graffiti picture. Remember my first "official" photo for this blog? It was my first little step on the journey I call Project 365. Maybe it will wind up as a pair that's framed for my my photo exhibition over the summer. More details to come, but it's going to be for a good cause, and lots of exciting things are in the works.

Nothing much else to report, I'm off to Phoenix for work in a week, and then on to Tampa and New Orleans in the two weeks following, so my life should be a bit more busy than the last month or so. I'm scouting photo locations of course, and since I'm managing a MLB Players interview shoot, I might add a few Yankee spring training pictures, if they let me take Pedro into the facility. Can anyone say ... JETER?!?! lol I know one of my friends who absolutely adores him, and she's offered to hold his towel for the three days that I'm down there with the video crew. hahahha My favorite Yankee is no longer a Yankee, so I have no eye candy at all. Then again, so pumped about these interviews! What a great project to manage. And being surrounded by baseball players all week isn't a bad way to spend some time in the sun either. lol

Brooklyn Door

Photo 206: I'm was in PA this weekend to spend some time with my best friend and her family, but before I leave, I wanted to share this image with you. My list of photo opps around NYC is getting longer and longer again, and Williamsburg and Vinegar Hill have just been added. Love this door.

Happy V-Day

Photo 205: Happy Valentine's Day, everyone. Whether you're celebrating or not, give yourself a big hug from me, and eat some candy! I'm on "chef duty" tonight for my PA rents, and sending out some love, hugs and my gratitude to all those who have stood by me through thick and thin, who have made me who I am, and who have helped me see how blessed my life is. Celebrate life and love today... and always remember, "A friend is someone who understands your past, believes in your future, and accepts you just the way you are."

Ready for the Stage?

Photo 204: Found this little gem as I was wandering around in Brooklyn. All that's missing is some old Hollywood movie star having a cigarette outside...

Wait For It...

Photo 201-203: I couldn't resist posting more of my afternoon at the doggie park. Here is an action sequence I love. This is the same dog who looked like he was being overpowered by the black lab. Not so much... He kept waiting for dogs to come near, and then initiated an outright pounce attack. The dogs weren't amused, but the people couldn't stop watching. lol Little bugger!

GULP!

Photo 200: I can't believe it, but I finally reached my 200th picture! YEAH!!! Granted, I'm a little behind, but I'm trying to catch up. I kept debating what my milestone picture would be today, and I just had to pick this one. Every time I look at it, it cracks me up, the puppy's face is just priceless. You can just see the uncertainty and mistrust in his eyes... it's hilarious. He's almost saying, "Excuse me, uh, what are you doing? Gulp!" What you don't see is how three seconds later, he dog-handled the black dog into the ground, and then chased him all over the doggie park. Go figure! Hope you love it as much as I do.

Superbowl Sunday

Photo 198-199: I'm off to eat some greasy food, and indulge in some of America's favorite pastime, football... Go Saints! Before I load up on nachos, burgers and some guacamole at my friend's party, here are some more snowy pictures with some sunshine thrown in. I'll be back tomorrow, a few pounds heavier, but hopefully with some funny moments and a Saints victory.

East Coast = SNOW!

Photo 196 - 197: We've been hit by a snowstorm, but it's nothing compared to what DC and Baltimore have to deal with. I looked at pictures this morning, and they really got snowed in. It's crazy how much snow they have to deal with. We got a few inches, but also have to deal with the arctic wind that is causing frostbite all over the place. It's FREEZING outside. The gray and cloudy skies aren't helping either. I dug out my car though, and managed to grab some shots along the street and highway. I'm all stocked up on groceries, and now bumming around on the couch. I refuse to go outside today... it's just too crappy.

As a sidenote, anyone a fan of this new blog editor? I changed back to the old one, because, quite frankly, the new one seems to be very outdated, and has less features i.e. multiple uploads, color schemes, picture sizes, etc.

Dumbo

Photo 193 - 195: As I was walking around Dumbo, I saw these seagulls just hanging out on the shore right next to the Manhattan bridge. I looked over my shoulder, and there was a stunning view of the old Brooklyn Bridge. It's amazing what you can see when you take a quick stroll around Dumbo. And speaking of typical sights, this Firehouse door is exactly what I've been looking at all day. Two minutes after I took the shot, our dedicated NYC firefighters sprung into action, and hurled themselves and their engine down the road to cover some kind of emergency. Speed and safety to them!
